The Invisibles - Prologue

lights on the narrator:
"there's no once upon a time...
just a boy + girl type of fable we've all heard
before
and he believes he's found the meaning of life in her
eyes
and she sees colors for the first time
then we silenty chuckle 'they will learn it the hard
way'
and remember every time our hearts been broken
but while these fragile moments last we hold our
memories tight
and wonder how they got so rusty
as he becomes obsessed with words like stars and the
summertime
and she has dreams shaped like his collarbone
and he writes songs to tell their story, heaven why on
why!
but as foolish as they are we hum along
'cause it's a song of two humans, at any given place
or time
a delightful accident caused by a simple smile
a song of two humans, just a headlight in the night
cliché and corny but so cool and warm inside
a song of two humans, it's the sunrise of our
lives..."

then the narrator's lifted, flying across the night
(tonight)
and the audience knows they'll learn to touch the sky
(tonight, tonight)
'cause every story begins with that sigh lovers sigh
(freezing time)
after they kiss for the first time
